SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners activated outfielder Michael Saunders from the 15-day disabled list and optioned outfielder Carlos Peguero to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.
Saunders sprained his right shoulder on April 10 when he crashed into the fence while making a catch. He is hitting .286 with one home run and five RBIs in nine games this season. Saunders will play center field and bat leadoff in Monday night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Peguero played two games with the Mariners, going 2 for 6 with a home run.
