If you are a human who loves your dog, why not pamper your pet Saturday with a bit of a party and a trip to an art gallery.
Cole Gallery is hosting a special kickoff party to welcome artist Patty Forte Linna and her new show “Doggie Divas and the People Who Love Them” running Saturday through June 1.
The opening, “Dog Day Afternoon,” begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Cole Gallery, 107 Fifth Ave. S., Edmonds. Dogs can come as they are or dress up.
All the Best Pet Care in Edmonds will give out coupon deals to the first 30 people and dog treats to all.
Human goodies and refreshments will be catered by the gallery.
Forte Linna began painting pups after a drive through Edmonds.
“I saw a young, petite woman walking her giant Bernese mountain dog. She had long brown hair and was dressed in gold, tan and black, exactly the colors of her dog,” she said.
“I loved the thought of her subconsciously dressing to match her dog. Then the idea of painting pets and their people took full flight.”
