Lynnwood likely will keep golf course

LYNNWOOD -- The city of Lynnwood now is expected to keep its golf course.
City councilmembers are scheduled to discuss the matter in executive session at Monday night's meeting.
City leaders also have drafted a resolution saying they're committed to keeping the golf course operating.
The resolution is slated for the consent agenda at the May 13 meeting.
City leaders have not yet decided whether to keep the course management under the parks department or hire a private contractor, parks director Lynn Sordel said Friday.
The golf course remains open during the discussions.
