Quilt show: The women’s group at Immaculate Conception Church in Arlington plans a quilt show, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. today. The church is at 1200 E. Fifth St. There will be quilts from local artists, raffles and quilt sales. Cathy Callan is the featured artist. Admission is $5 and includes refreshments. Proceeds will help reduce the debt on the newer part of the church building.
School play: Grace Academy’s drama department wraps up its production of Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” at 7 tonight. The school is at 8521 67th Ave NE, Marysville.
Chorale benefit: Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church hosts the Sno-King Chorale for a benefit concert at 7 p.m. today at 27201 99th Ave. NW, Stanwood. Admission is by donation with all proceeds benefiting Boscovet Project, an outreach of the church that works to empower impoverished Kenyan families. Desserts and raffles, and sales of soapstone items also are planned.
Benefit dance: Reflections School of Dance and Youth Unlimited sponsor a benefit dance performance, 7:30 p.m. today at the PUD Auditorium, 2320 California St. in Everett. Admission is a suggested $15 donation. Donations will benefit a Ugandan dance program, clean-water projects in Ethiopia, local dance scholarships and a local dance outreach program. Cinco de Mayo: Learn more about the local nonprofit Hands for Peacemaking Foundation’s work in Guatemala at 11:45 a.m. Sunday at Faith Lutheran Church, 6708 Cady Road, Everett. The program includes a tamale lunch, music and slide show of a recent trip by church members to help those in need.
Art show: More than 500 pieces of art from students at 16 schools throughout Snohomish, Skagit and King counties will be on display from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Archbishop Murphy High School, 12911 39th Ave. SE, Everett. See drawings, paintings, cultural art, printmaking and sacred art. Admission is free.
Torah workshop: “The Torah Factory,” a pre-Shavuos workshop, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Chabad of Snohomish County, 19626 76th Ave. W., Suite B, Lynnwood. Benefit concert: Because of the Brave, a benefit concert that will help send 500 military kids to Operation Xtreme at Crista Camps this summer, will be presented at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410 Fourth Ave. N. The Mosaic Arts Northwest Choir and Orchestra will play Americana, jazz, bluegrass and gospel music. Veterans and active military are encouraged to come in uniform. School auction: Oak Harbor Christian School invites the community to its annual spring dinner and auction, starting at 5:30 p.m. May 10.
