LYNNWOOD — Meadowdale scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to earn a come-from-behind win against Glacier Peak and clinch a back-to-back Wesco 3A South titles.
Hailey Costello tripled and scored the game-tying run and Julia Reuble hit an RBI single to drive home the winner.
“It feels good,” Mavericks head coach Dennis Hopkins said about securing another league championship. “We were expecting to well this year. We have young pitching, but the team is basically the same (from last year). Our pitching is doing fairly well. We’re tough.”
