Prep softball: Lake Stevens 1, Monroe 0

MONROE -- Dakota Pitzer's RBI single in the top of the seventh drove in Kahlia Kelliher for the only run of the game as Lake Stevens wrapped up the regular season with a win over Monroe. Vikings starter Sierra Card threw a complete-game shutout and struck out seven to outduel the Bearcats' Alyssa Egan, who allowed just two hits and had five strikeouts. The Vikings will enter the playoffs as the No. 3 seed from the Wesco 4A North. Lake Stevens and Arlington finished tied for second place, but the Eagles won the tiebreaker draw.
