MALTBY — Sheriff’s deputies and a police dog attempted to track a burglary suspect in the area of York Road Monday morning before calling off the search.
A homeowner interrupted the burglar around 9:40 a.m. in the 4400 block of 230th Place SE near Bothell, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
The suspect drove away in a black Audi and collided with a motorcycle rider at the 4300 block of 229th Place SE, Ireton said. The motorcycle rider reported no injuries and didn’t need medical aid.
The suspected burglar abandoned the car in the 18400 block of 59th Avenue SE and ran off along a power line maintenance road.
The suspect is believed to be an Everett man, 37, Ireton said.
It is believed the suspect fled the area on a bicycle.
