EVERETT — A man and a woman were arrested Wednesday after fleeing from police in a stolen car in south Snohomish County.
The pursuit started about 12:50 p.m. along northbound I-405 near Bothell, Washington State Patrol trooper Mark Francis said.
The car was stopped about 20 minutes later along northbound I-5 just south of Marysville.
Troopers had attempted to pull over a speeding car but it took off, he said. Speeds at times reached 110 mph. The driver also reportedly was passing other cars on highway shoulders.
Police deployed spike-strips that took out at least one tire south of Marysville, he said.
The car stopped nearby after a trooper bumped it with a police cruiser in a Pursuit Immobilization Technique, also known as a PIT maneuver.
The woman was shocked with an electric stun gun during the arrest.
No serious injuries were reported, Francis said. There was minimal damage to the vehicles involved.
Traffic was delayed in the area for some time.
The pair was expected to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
Pursuits are catching extra attention in the county after two people died in high-speed police chases here in recent weeks.
