I have seen Damien Jurado live a few times already this year because he is pretty much my favorite and I don’t just mean out of local artists. My favorite ever. Yeah that’s right, forever ever.
Each time he played some new songs that will be on his next album coming sometime next year. Seems like way too long to wait, but I guess that’s just how things go.
The good news is that Secretly Canadian, the label Jurado is on, recently released a video of him performing one of those songs at the Warehouse in Tacoma. The song is ‘Jericho Road’ and I was in love with this song the first time I heard him play it live and since I found this video I just can’t stop playing it.
