VANCOUVER, Wash. — An hour-and-a-half after a car crashed into a ditch at Battle Ground a tow truck driver was getting ready to leave the scene Monday when he heard a cry for help.
The driver found a 16-year-old boy who had been hit by the car, still lying in nearby shrubs.
The Columbian reports Justin Cary was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver in critical condition with broken legs and other injuries. He’s a student at Battle Ground High School.
The Clark County sheriff’s office says the driver of the car did not report hitting the boy. The 46-year-old Vancouver woman was conscious when medics took her to a hospital with a broken arm.
