Deputy in serious condition after being hit last week

SEATTLE — A Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy remains in serious condition after being struck by a wrong-way driver on Thursday in Everett.

The deputy on Monday was in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The deputy, 48, was struck by a passenger car driven by an Everett man, 33, along Evergreen Way near 112th Street SW.

Detectives believe the Everett man may have been having a medical emergency.

The investigation continues.
