Audience gets into act at Kaddywompas show
The town goes mud crazy and you and your family can help turn up the frenzy as part of the audience for the Kaddywompas Radio Show "Mud Works!" at Tim Noah Thumbnail Theatre.
The musical show is recorded live and you become part of the recording as you laugh, clap and even sing along with the cast.
The muddy mayhem kicks off when Bill Davie (Bill Davie) discovers the truth about the Kaddywompas mud.
At the Kaddywompas Country Store, it's a "mud" rush as customers clamor for buckets and shovels and storekeep Tim (Tim Noah) tries to keep up.
Wise JW McClure (JW McClure) offers his front porch perspective. Miss RSVP, also known as Rebecca Sparks, offers advice to lovelorn listeners and Virginia Peters (Cyndi "Soup" Elliott) is promoting her Miracle Mud cosmetics on the RSVP call-in radio show.
While all this is going on, Aunt Vera (Sharon "Corkie" Cordisco) at the Kaddywompas Cafe sings a song about Uncle Don, who has gone stark naked over mud.
Meanwhile, Bill Davie secretly confides concerns to Tad, a talking toad (Michael McFadden), regarding a letter he has received from Kaddywompas tribal elders about the location of his Mud Works operation.
It all builds to an exciting, muddy and messy climax at The First Annual Kaddywompas Miracle Mud Works Celebration, where Oggy and Brother Twig have built the "mudslide ride of a lifetime," according to press material about the show.
The script for "Mud Works!" was written by JW McClure, Devin Rice, Cyndi "Soup" Elliott and Tim Noah. Original songs are by Tim Noah, JW McClure and Bill Davie. Musical direction is by Ted Lombard, sound effects by Devin Rice. The show is directed by Eric Lewis.
The Kaddywompas Radio Show "Mud Works!" will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Tim Noah Thumbnail Theatre, 1211 Fourth St., Snohomish.
