MOSES LAKE — The East defeated the West 38-21 in the Washington State 3A/4A All-State football game on Friday night at Lions Stadium.
The game featured the state’s top high school football talent, who were seniors this past school year.
Bothell’s Danny Wilson scored on a 2-yard run in the first quarter to put the West up 7-0 before the East scored 31 unanswered points to take a 31-7 lead at halftime.
The West scored twice in the third quarter on two long passes. The first came on a 50-plus yard touchdown pass to Marysville Pilchuck receiver Kyle Nobach and second on a 60-plus yard pass to Glacier Peak’s Sean Elledge. West head coach Tom Tri said he called the same play on both scores. The only difference was that the plays were run to opposite directions.
The East added another touchdown before the end of the game to make up the final margin.
