Best TV shows of the Week

Tonight
Stephen King's sci-fi thriller, "Under the Dome," comes to prime time in the form of this ambitious summer series. See story at left. 10 tonight, CBS.
"Miss, You Can Do It" brings an admirable twist to the typical beauty pageant concept. It's a documentary that focuses on a competition that is open to young women and girls with special needs and challenges. 9 p.m., HBO.
Tuesday
Bad guys beware: TV's hottest crime-solving duo is back in action as "Rizzoli & Isles" (Angie Harmon, Sasha Alexander) returns for a fourth season.
The show airs just before the Season 2 premiere of "Perception." 9 p.m., TNT.
Wednesday
TV's tawdry experiment in voyeurism resumes when "Big Brother" assembles a new group of lab rats, er, contestants, to live and bicker under one roof.
The reality series is celebrating its 15th season, if you can believe that. 8 p.m., CBS.
Thursday
On "The Hero," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson challenges the contestants to take death-defying leaps off a building. No thanks. We'll stay welded to the couch, if you don't mind. 8 p.m., TNT.
Tonight's edition of "Wipeout" features a challenge called "Trippity Skippity Flippity Doo." Easy for them to say. 8 p.m., ABC.
Friday
"Annie: It's a Hard-Knock Life, From Script to Stage" is a documentary that offers viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the Broadway musical and evolution of a single production number. 10:30 p.m., PBS.
Saturday
"Anna Nicole Smith" is a TV movie that follows the infamous rise and fall of Vickie Lynn Hogan (Agnes Bruckner), a pretty but plain girl who grew up in a small Texas town and transformed herself into a voluptuous, Marilyn Monroe-esque Playboy pinup and model. Martin Landau co-stars. 8 p.m., Lifetime.
