SEATTLE — The National Weather Service is forecasting a heat wave for Washington starting this weekend with temperatures reaching the 90s early next week.
Forecasters say Friday will be the last day in a stretch of showery weather as skies turn sunny.
Highs in the 70s and 80s are expected through the weekend and then climbing into the 90s in parts of Western Washington. It will be even hotter in Eastern Washington with weekend highs in the 80s and 90s and possible breaking 100 degrees on Monday.
