Village Theatre's Kidstage is offering free previews of its summer performance lineup at the Everett Performing Arts Center Plaza, 2730 Wetmore Ave., Everett.
Selections from Stephen Sondheim's "Into the Woods" will be presented at noon Friday. "Into the Woods" is a tongue-in-cheek musical that gives a twist to familiar fairy tales.
Enjoy a preview of "A Year With Frog and Toad" at noon July 19. The beloved children's book about the two friends' adventures is transformed for the stage.
At noon July 26 kids can enjoy selections from "Into the Woods" as well as "Shrek the Musical" that features the same snarky cast of characters from the "Shrek" films.
Selections from "Shrek" will also be presented at noon Aug. 2.
Catch up with "Frog and Toad" again at noon Aug. 9.
Of course, the full-length Kidstage performances of these plays continue in July and August at the Everett Performing Arts Center.
For more about the free events and the plays, along with times and ticket prices, go to www.village theatre.org/epac.php. You can also call the Everett Performing Arts Center box office at 425-257-8600.
