One dead, 5 injured in 1-car rollover near Silvana

SILVANA -- One person was killed and five others injured in a one-car rollover crash on Pioneer Highway around noon Sunday, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office reported.
The Chevrolet in which the six people were traveling was headed west when it went off Pioneer Highway near Norman Road, south of Stanwood, sheriff's Lt. Jeff Brand said.
One person was pronounced dead, with the others taken to hospitals by helicopter and ground ambulance, Brand said.
Their identities were not immediately available.
The roads near the intersection are closed while crash detectives investigate.
