Where were you born? How long have you lived in the Snohomish County area? I was born in Michigan, lived in Washington for more than 40 years and I love it.
How long have you worked in Real Estate? I have been in real estate for 26 years.
What did you do before that? I worked as a school bus driver.
What is your specialty and what does that mean for the people you work with? My specialty is residential resale homes in Snohomish County. I have experience in just about every neighborhood in the area! I know the history and the benefits of each neighborhood.
What is the most challenging aspect of what you do? It's a challenge when I have to help clients who are faced with foreclosure. I give them information to help them make the hard decision they are forced with and the healing process. Life does go on after foreclosure or short sale.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy a home? Know what you want and what you need — there is a difference. Be patient and when you find it, be aggressive.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to sell a home? Price it right. Don't list at a high price thinking the buyers will make lower offers. When you list a home at the right price in this market (depending on price range), you will get multiple offers.
Why should someone choose you as their real estate agent? Experience and marketing. I spend money on my listings — both print and internet advertising. Some brokers don't believe in the power of print anymore, but the home buying process is a fun one and people enjoy searching in all areas of marketing, you never know where the lead will come from when you find "your home."
What do you most enjoy doing when you're not working? I enjoy spending time with my grandkids, Jethro and Jasmine, traveling with my husband, mission work around the world, and spending time with my friends and youth group at New View Church.
