SPOKANE — The National Weather Service is warning of wildfires in central and Eastern Washington that could be sparked by dry lightning from fast-moving thunderstorms from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning.
Winds with the thunderstorms could fan flames through dry grass and brush.
Temperatures are expected to remain above normal through the weekend across the state. Highs on Saturday could climb near 100 in places in Eastern Washington. Western Washington highs are forecast in the 80s.
