ABERDEEN — Someone heard a bear cub crying recently just off a forest road in the Smith Creek area of Grays Harbor County near Elma.
KXRO reported that two state wildlife agents responded and found the bear with a back paw wedged in the fork of a tree.
The agents cut the tree below the cub to set it free. It was not seriously injured because it immediately climbed another tree.
