MARYSVILLE — A man driving a motorcycle was killed in a three-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in the 12700 block of Smokey Point Boulevard, officials said.
Police didn’t release the man’s name, pending notification of his family. His age and hometown were not immediately available,
He was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, but died within hours of the crash.
The accident occurred shortly after noon.
The motorcycle collided with a SUV and then a pickup truck travelling in the opposite direction, according to Marysville police report.
A woman from Marysville was driving the SUV. She was not injured.
Three people in the pickup also were not injured.
Smokey Point Boulevard was closed to traffic for several hours from 116th Street NE north to 128th Street NE.
The collision is being investigated by the Marysville Police Department Collision Investigation Team. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit helped take measurements and create a diagram of the crash scene.
