Notes from Day 2 of Seahawks training camp
In addition to the players on the Physically Unable to Perform list, the Seahawks also practiced without FB Michael Robinson and LB Heath Farwell. And again, with no Carroll today, we'll have to wait a day for updates. TE Sean McGrath, who looked to suffer a hamstring injury late in Thursday's practice, was back on the field, though he appeared to be limping at times. Then, after sitting for a while to sign autographs, he started cramping up and needed to be carted off. That injury doesn't appear to be serious at the moment seeing as he practiced, but given Seattle's lack of depth at TE, that'll be a situation worth monitoring.
--Jeremy Lane had one of the plays of the game, intercepting a Tarvaris Jackson pass and returning it for a touchdown. Though to be fair, Jackson might have been able to save a touchdown if not for the crowd of defensive players who were watching the play from behind him who let's just say weren't eager to get out of Jackson's way as he chased the play.
--Russell Wilson and the first team offense didn't look as sharp today as yesterday (OH NO! SOPHOMORE SLUMP!), but it is still late July, so probably not quite time to panic yet.
--Spencer Ware may be listed as a fullback, but the rookie out of LSU still has some moves that make you realize he was a running back in college. On one short pass from Wilson, Ware put a nifty open-field move on Kyle Knox that left the linebacker grasping at air.
--WR Stephen Williams, a third-year player out of Toledo, had another impressive day making a few impressive catches, though none that quite topped his leaping grab over Jeremy Lane on Thursday. Williams, who started three games for Arizona as an undrafted rookie, still has a long ways to go to make the roster, but he's making an impression early.
--Attendance for the day was announced at 2,650. That's down slightly from the 2,800 that packed the practice facility yesterday.
