Damn, Yankees: New York Yankee Derek Jeter hit a home run on the first pitch he saw in Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay. It was Jeter’s first game after a 17-day injury absence that followed missing most of this season. The homer was a ray of hope for New York fans waiting to hear about fellow Yankee Alex Rodriguez’s potential penalties for using performance-enhancing drugs.
Jeter returned to the dugout to high-fives from teammates and a cup to pee in from MLB Commissioner Bud Selig.
