The meeting of art, music and sidewalk

  • Sean Ryan / The Herald

Mike Cockrill, 58, of Everett plays on the Summer Reflections piano created by Shannon Danks at the corner of Wetmore Avenue and Hewitt Avenue on Wednesday afternoon. Cockrill, who started playing at the age of 8, thanked his mother for reminding him to practice and said he would go crazy if he couldn't play the piano.
Eighteen pianos, painted and decorated by county artists were delivered to locations throughout Everett on Wednesday, the return of the interactive art project Street Tunes. Click here to see the gallery.
