EVERETT — The Port of Everett has scheduled a meeting for 4 p.m. Monday to discuss naming an appointee to fill the vacancy left by former Port Commissioner Michael Hoffmann, who resigned last week.
Port commissioners could choose an appointee Monday, or ask port Executive Director John Mohr to continue work to identify qualified candidates. The new commissioner must live within District 3.
The seat is up for election this year and the lone candidate running for it, Glen Bachman, is expected to be sworn in once results are certified.
Monday’s meeting is to take place in the port’s Blue Heron Conference Room on 1205 Craftsman Way, Everett.
