A free daylong event to celebrate the sea is planned from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Cama Beach State Park, 1800 SW Camano Drive, near Stanwood.
The Camocean World Ocean’s Day Festival includes information booths provided by natural resources and ocean conservation organizations that work to restore and maintain Puget Sound and ocean health. People also can check out live marine tanks, with help from the Bellingham Marine Life Center and the Washington State University Island County Beach Watchers.
Also featured will be live music, games, geocaching, arts and crafts, songs and storytelling, toy boat building and a rain gutter regatta. Rental boats and kayaks will be provided by the Center for Wooden Boats.

The Everett Music Initiative is throwing a party with one of Seattle’s biggest bands, Deep Sea Diver, on Saturday. Kairos and Everett’s own I Will Keep Your Ghost also will play. The show is the after party for the Everett Craft Beer Festival and the Fresh Paint Festival. The show is 21 and over and will be held in the alley behind 2812 Hoyt Ave in Everett.
