Front Porch: Skateboard competition set for Saturday at Mill Creek park

Board Bash 6 set
Mill Creek Parks and Recreation hosts Board Bash 6, a free skateboard competition, 12-3 p.m. Saturday at the Mill Creek Skate Park, 13903 North Creek Drive. The competition will have room for up to 80 participants, from age 6 to adults.
Signed and completed medical release forms are needed to participate. Helmets are required. Go to www.cityofmillcreek.com for more information.

Car show in Everett: The Hot Rods and Muscle Car Show is planned from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Everett Burgermaster and Kennelly Keys Music, 7909 and 7903 Evergreen Way, Everett. The public is invited to attend this free event. Local car clubs and car enthusiasts have been invited to display their classic custom cars and hot rods for public viewing. Live music provided by Kennelly Keys Music and played by Midstokke, a classic rock cover band. Everyone who attends will have the opportunity to vote on the "people's choice" winner.

Concert, auction benefits animals: Music for the Animals, a benefit auction and concert featuring Chris Isaak, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Chateau Ste. Michelle winery in Woodinville. Proceeds benefit Northwest Organization for Animal Help in Stanwood.
Tickets are $500 and include dinner, beer and wine, silent and live auctions, reserved VIP tickets to the Isaak concert, VIP parking, and a swag bag worth over $200. Tickets are limited. To purchase, contact NOAH at 360-629-7055 or thenoahcenter.org.
