On behalf of the Everett Film Festival board, I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the Verhey/Goffredo families for the loss of their beloved Theresa.
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Theresa a few years ago when we were both attempting to learn cross country skiing through the Everett Parks Department. I say “attempting” since I was very unsuccessful and Theresa was much more adept. We had a chance to chat while we were wallowing in the snow and I found her to be wonderfully warm, friendly and very approachable. Through our conversation I learned she was employed by The Herald and from there we forged a great working friendship.
Theresa was a great supporter of the cultural events in our community and her name was often seen on columns reporting local events large and small. She was always interested and enthusiastic when we talked about our festival’s plans. It was a special experience working with her and I looked forward to our conversations. Her loss will be deeply felt throughout the entire community.
We wish the Verhey/Goffredo families peace and want to ensure them that Theresa’s memory will live on in our hearts.
Sincerely,
Teresa Henderson, Director
The Everett Film Festival Board
