Mets' Harvey tweets he will be back next April

NEW YORK — Injured Mets third baseman David Wright is set to begin his rehabilitation this week while ace Matt Harvey tweets he will be back from an elbow tear by next April.
The team says Wright will head to Florida on Thursday to keep up the recovery on his right hamstring. New York manager Terry Collins said Wright might play in a minor league game this weekend.
Wright is hitting .309 with 16 home runs and 54 RBIs.
The Mets put Harvey on the 15-day DL on Tuesday with a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament. The team says no decision has been made on whether the All-Star starter will have Tommy John surgery. But Harvey seemed to indicate he won't need it.
"Thank you everyone for the kind words and support. I may be done this year, but I will be back next year for April 1," Harvey posted on Twitter.
Harvey is 9-5 with a 2.27 ERA in 26 starts.
The Mets traded outfielder Marlon Byrd and catcher John Buck to Pittsburgh. The Mets selected outfielder Matt den Dekker from Triple-A Las Vegas and recalled catcher Anthony Recker and left-hander Robert Carson from Las Vegas.
