SPOKANE — Jack Reinheimer and Austin Wilson each homered and drove in two runs to back a solid outing by starting pitcher Jake Zokan, and the Everett AquaSox beat the Spokane Indians 4-2 on Wednesday night to extend their winning streak to eight games.
Reinheimer quickly gave Everett (19-14 second half, 42-29 overall) the lead in the first, lifting a one-out home run to left field off of Spokane starter Collin Wiles (2-6).
The hot-hitting Wilson led off the seventh with an opposite-field home run, his sixth of the season and fourth in his last nine games.
After Spokane (15-18, 35-36) cut the lead to one, the AquaSox added an insurance run in the eight inning on a Reinheimer sacrifice fly that scored Bryan Brito.
Zokan (5-3), who didn’t allow an Indians hit until the bottom of the fourth inning, pitched 62/3 innings, allowing two runs on three hits while striking out six.
Tyler Olson pitched 21/3 innings of scoreless relief to record his first save of the season for Everett.
