EVERETT — Police now say racing drivers may have caused a two-car crash in south Everett on Tuesday.
The crash was reported about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of 19th Avenue SE and 112th Street SE, just north of Silver Lake, Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell said.
Multiple witnesses told police they saw a northbound Mitsubishi racing another vehicle.
The Mitsubishi missed a curve, went onto a sidewalk and struck a Mazda that was waiting to make a turn, Snell said. The Mazda flipped over into a ditch.
The Mazda driver was taken to the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
