ASTORIA, Ore. — The head coach of the girls’ basketball team at Astoria High School has been accused of assaulting his 10-year-old daughter.
The Daily Astorian reported that a grand jury indicted Bradford Dalton, 50, on charges of assault and strangulation.
According to the indictment, Dalton allegedly applied pressure to his daughter’s throat and neck during an incident that occurred July 30.
Astoria police said the girl’s mother took photos to document the injuries.
Dalton also teaches algebra and geometry at the high school. His arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 10.
