A very special thank you to United Way of Snohomish County for its recognition of North Sound District of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul by choosing us to receive the “2013 Roger Bouck Award For Volunteerism in Action.”
On behalf of the 300-plus members of the St. Vincent de Paul — North Sound District Council, we would like to thank United Way for recognizing the work being done to serve those in need.
The Society has been servants of the poor for 180 years worldwide as we recognize every person as a member of God’s family as we seek to find the forgotten, the suffering or the deprived.
The parish groups within the area all receive their funding from members of their home parishes, with additional support through our Thrift Stores in Everett, Lynnwood and Monroe.
Thanks again to United Way, from a very mature, but not so well known Catholic lay organization.
