EVERETT — Emergency officials are bracing for possible flooding in the Everett area on Thursday and Friday spurred by expected heavy rain.
A flood watch was put in place, meaning flooding is likely but not imminent, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.
Rainfall of up to two inches is predicted beginning Thursday afternoon. Urban flooding and stream overflow could take place.
People in steep areas should be wary of slides, the weather service said. Local rivers are expected to rise but no river flooding is expected.
Drivers should prepare for traffic problems during the evening commute.
