As of Sept. 1, anglers are allowed to keep both wild and hatchery coho out of Ilwaco, and will have the same opportunity out of Westport starting Sept. 6.
Fishermen were initially limited to hatchery stocks marked with a missing adipose fin to ensure goals for wild coho were met while extending fishing through the entire salmon season.
With a month remaining in the fishery, just 49 percent of the coho quota has been reached in Marine Area 1, and 48 percent in Marine Area 2.
