OK, my gosh, here we go! First the Republican big wigs in Congress were against anything that President Obama suggested or requested. They’ve been fighting tooth and nail to make him look incompetent. Now, they want to stand behind him on his request to do a “limited strike” on Syria. But, it appears the American citizens do not support doing this. After all, why should we, America, be the peacekeeper of the world or any nation? What is the United Nations for? Are they not the ones who should decide what if anything should happen in this situation?
So, if we do strike, and let’s say the American public says, “This is wrong.” Now the Republicans can say, “See, he shouldn’t have done this.” Even though they said they were behind him, they’re not. They’re hoping things will go terribly wrong. Personally, I believe the president should go with his American people and not do anything.
You think I’m wrong? Just you wait and see. You want to call me a liberal Democrat just spouting off? I’m an independent. I always have been since the 1960s. Let’s get real. The “party” system sucks and needs to change.
