SEATAC — A King County sheriff’s spokeswoman says a man suspected in a Thursday afternoon shooting in SeaTac fled to nearby woods and shot himself in the chest as officers pursued him.
Sgt. Cindi West said on the sheriff’s official Twitter account that the man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Deputies responded to a call about a woman who was shot and wounded. Sheriff’s spokesman B.J. Myers says the woman had been shot in the torso but was responsive. She, too, was taken to Harborview.
No condition reports were available Thursday evening.
