New Campfire OK album and other music news

There has been a lot of great new local music out recently that you should be listening to and there are some great live shows coming up that you won’t want to miss. Check the details out below, then do the right thing and go buy some music or some concert tickets.

Campfire OK releases new album

Campfire OK performed in Everett recently and during the performance they announced that they had just signed to Fugitive Recordings and would be releasing their new album soon. Well this week the band released “When You Have Arrived” and it is great. I enjoyed it so much I actually paid for it. Hear a track from the new album below and then get on iTunes and buy it for yourself.

The Grizzled Mighty has an upcoming performance

Seattle rock duo The Grizzled Mighty played the Red Bull Sound Select Stage at Capitol Hill Block Party this summer. Recently Red Bull released a pretty incredible video of the band performing their song ‘Midnight Sun.’ You can catch The Grizzled Mighty on Oct. 12 at The Tractor Tavern in Ballard with Motopony. This is a must see show! Tickets available here.

New single from Ravenna Woods

On November 12th Ravenna Woods will release their new album The Jackals. On November 16th they will be having a release show at Neumos in Seattle with the previously mentioned Campfire OK. In the meantime the band is teasing the new album with the release of their single ‘Live Alone’ which you can hear below. Tickets for the release show available here.

Oh yeah, and for today only you can download ‘Live Alone’ for free!

RA Scion and Daniel Blue single release

A little while back I posted a trailer for an upcoming collaboration between Seattle hiphop artist RA Scion and Motopony front man Daniel Blue. Next Friday, this video will be released and I expect there will be some RA Scion and Daniel Blue performances coming shortly after that. In case you haven’t seen it yet, here it is. Will have the video posted next week.
