Seattle Storm guard Tanisha Wright was named to the WNBA’s All-Defensive First-Team on Friday.
It’s the fourth time in Wright’s career she has been named to the defensive first-team, the other seasons being 2009, 2010 and 2011.
“Tanisha is the most focused defender in the league,” said Storm head coach Brian Agler. “She takes great pride in her ability to take on tough assignments, is very active in our schemes and keeps our teams’ effectiveness at a high level.”
Wright joined Chicago’s Sylvia Fowles, the league’s Defensive Player of the Year, Angel McCoughtry, Armintie Herrington and Tamika Catchings on the first-team.
