‘Constant’ video from RA Scion and Daniel Blue

It is finally here. The video from RA Scion and Motopony’s Daniel Blue for their new single ‘Constant’ was released today. This is one of the most anticipated music videos to come out of Seattle in a while. It might have to do with the teaser trailer released earlier this month, or it could be the unlikely pairing of RA Scion and Blue. Whatever the reason, the buzz surrounding the release of this video has been building for some time and now the wait is over.

‘Constant’ was released on iTunes on Monday and I downloaded it as soon as I woke up. All week while I have been listening to it I find myself daydreaming about the video wondering what kind of visual madness video director Casey Sjogren has in store for us. The end result is completely gorgeous.

“That was an amazing, serendipitous experience that we are all still spinning from. Every person gave so much of their heart, soul and time to the project. The level of generosity from the entire community of Orcas Island and people in the video, was nothing short of astounding” said video producer Mariangela Abeo.

Watching this video almost feels like walking through a dream and your new favorite song is the soundtrack. The combination of RA Scion’s thoughtful hip hop style with the beautifully haunting quality of Daniel Blue’s voice and the ambient beat from producer Rodney Hazard makes for an incredible song and leaves me wishing the three of them would do an entire album together.

For now I will just keep ‘Constant’ on repeat.
