Zach Miller, who hurt his hamstring this week, is listed as questionable for this week’s game and will be a game-time decision, Pete Carroll said.
“Zach tugged his hammy a little bit,” Carroll. “We’re going to try to wait it out and see if it’s going to be a factor for the game. We’re going to wait all the way to game time…He’s questionable.
However when asked about rookie tight end Luke Willson, Carroll made comments that made it sound like they’re not counting on Miller to be available.
“Luke’s done a good job, yeah, he’s measured up,” Carroll said. “He’s done a really good job. Really I’m anxious to see him play and take over this role with a lot of responsibility. It will be good to see him.”
Center Max Unger, who missed last week’s game with a triceps injury, is questionable for Sunday’s game.
“He got some work done this week; it hasn’t gone as quickly as we had hoped,” Carroll said. “I can’t tell you more than that. He goes in questionable and we’ll see what happens on game day.”
If Unger can’t play, that will mean the Seahawks will be without three of their five starting linemen for a second straight week. Factor in the potential loss of Zach Miller, who is a very good blocking tight end, and it could be another tough day for quarterback Russell Wilson.
Safety Jeron Johnson, who injured his hamstring in the opener, will be available this week, Carroll said, while CB Jeremy Lane (hamstring, won’t go. Carroll also said rookie DT Jordan Hill, who has not played this season because of a biceps injury, could probably play this week, but they’ll wait one more week before bringing him back.
