I was looking at your drawing board of editorial cartoons, and noticed the cartoons making fun of Ted Cruz for standing up for a great many people who do not want Obamacare. I guess if you have a different opinion than the elite of this country you are considered egotistic, or at least stupid.
How are going to pay for it? We are broke! It really makes me nervous that the politically corrupt IRS will handle the administration side of things. Companies are already turning full-time jobs to part-time to get out of paying the bills.
Congress exempted its participation in Obamacare. Why is that do you suppose? They also exempted some unions and other people in favor in Washington. Isn’t that interesting? Am I for affordable health care? Definitely! The system we have now is not the best system, to say the least. The priority of the insurance companies, and the drug industry, is for billions in profit, not for treating people. People should have affordable premiums that allow them to see a doctor when they need care.
Someone told me once if you want to see what government care is like look at the Veterans’ hospitals. You have heard the stories about waiting for weeks to get in and see a doctor. We only have to look at other programs run by the government and see fraud and waste. For the taxpayers, the health-care costs are going to go up and up. That isn’t the only thing that people are concerned about. They don’t want the government dictating their lives.
Was Ted Cruz’s filibuster for his political advancement? Maybe, but there are a lot of people who are ignored or ridiculed for not wanting more interference in their private lives. Nobody is speaking out for them this. In fact, nobody is doing anything in Washington but lining their own pockets and ignoring the wishes of the people who elected them. It’s heart-breaking.
