N-3C reflector gunsight helped pilot navigate attacks
Last week, we talked about the forward-firing blister packs affixed to the fuselage of the B-25. Now let's go into the cockpit and see a flyer aimed all of this new-found firepower. The N-3C reflector gunsight on the pilot's side (left) helped him "point the plane" at what he wanted to attack. The sight could be used straight-on or adjusted downward from 1 to 15 degrees for various bombing angles. Note that, if the gunsight failed, and spare bulbs didn't help fix the problem, there was an old-school ring and post sight just to the right of the N-3C.
