86 proof! Skip Rock Distillers in Snohomish will release their rye whiskey on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There’s a limited supply and it’s only available at the distillery, at 104 Ave. C, Snohomish. Check their website for more info.

Rock: Seattle rock duo My Goodness is coming back to Everett on Friday to perform at Kroakers. Portland band Battle Me, which has had multiple songs show up in the TV show “Sons of Anarchy,” will also play. Iska Dhaaf will open the show. See stars: Use telescopes to view planets, lunar craters and mountains, star clusters and more at the Everett Astronomical Society’s Astronomy Day. It’s from 6 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Harborview Park, 1700 West Mukilteo Blvd., Everett. The event will be canceled if it’s rainy or overcast. More information.

Rock on: Rocktoberfest goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Totem Middle School, 1605 Seventh St., Marysville. The Marysville Rock and Gem Club show has plenty of nifty rocks, of course, but also has lapidary equipment, tools, beads and books. Admission is free. Call 360-363-8450 for more information.

Dig this: Pick up some fall gardening tips at a Monroe Library presentation. It’s more than just cleanup, you know. Topics include berries, dividing perennials, what to do with roses, mulching and proper pruning. The free class begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the library at 1070 Village Way. Put on your helmet: Grab your skateboard and head to the Centennial Trail Push Race in Arlington on Saturday and Sunday. The two-day event features a 1-mile, 5K and half-marathon race with a $2,500 prize. More information.

Farm tour: Visit four farms during the Sky Valley Farm Festival on Saturday. The Heritage Museum Tractor Club will ferry people from farm to farm in wagons. Activities include petting zoos, arts and crafts, rope swings and roping lessons, a corn maze, guided tours, informational booths and more. $5 suggested donation. Help save salmon: Plant native trees to improve the local salmon habitat at the Sound Salmon Solutions and Adopt a Stream Foundation’s Salmon Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Moving day: Aircraft including a World War II-era Super Corsair fighter will be moved from the Museum of Flight’s Great Gallery to make room for a 1935 Lockheed Model 10-E Electra and the world’s only Stinson Model O. Mushrooms: View hundreds of wild mushrooms from all around the Cascades and search for faeries in an enchanted forest floor display at the 42nd annual Wild Mushroom Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Forest Park, 802 East Mukilteo Blvd., Everett. It’s free. More information.

Gifts: Browse hand-made gifts at the Autumn Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event includes more than 25 vendors at the Ken Baxter Community Center at Comeford Park, 514 Delta Ave., Marysville. Bring donations of pet food for the food bank. Call 360-363-8450 for more information.

Yippie yi yay: Hometown Hootenanny is 7:30 Saturday night at Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. The show celebrates the legendary songs of the West, such as “Ghost Riders in the Sky,” with J.W. McClure, Mike Faast and Roger Ferguson, and The Rainieros. Tickets are $5, for kids under 12, to $16.50 at the box office, which opens at 6:30 p.m. Get more info in our story here.

On another note: The Everett Philharmonic Orchestra with guest violinist James Garlick will present Russian music conducted by Paul-Elliott Cobbs at 7 Saturday night at Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby.
