English mystery novelist Elizabeth George, whose home-base is Whidbey Island, is signing her latest novel in the Inspector Lynley series, “Just One Evil Act,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Third Place Books.
This gripping tale finds Scotland Yard Detective Sergeant Barbara Havers risking her career to find the daughter of a friend who was kidnapped in Italy.
Havers and her partner, Inspector Thomas Lynley, soon discover the kidnapping has international implications.
Many of the books by the best-selling author have been filmed by the BBC and shown on PBS’s “Mystery.”
George will read from and sign copies of “Just One Evil Act,” which lists at $29.95.
