ARLINGTON — A man died and another was seriously injured Thursday night after a car crashed into a ravine in Arlington.
The wreck was discovered by a passerby about 9:30 p.m. near the 20300 block of Burn Road, Arlington city spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said.
The passerby saw tire tracks and found a Chevrolet Avalanche overturned, she said. Both people in the car had been ejected.
A 25-year-old Arlington man was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries. A 20-year-old Arlington man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The road was closed for about six hours while Arlington and Washington State Patrol detectives were on scene.
“Investigators suspect alcohol may have been involved, although the investigation into the cause is ongoing,” Banfield said.
