With a short week, the Seahawks practiced Tuesday on what would normally be their off day. One player not participating was Marshawn Lynch, who is listed as having an ankle injury. The running back showed up on last week’s injury report Friday with a hip injury, but played and showed no signs of limitations due to that injury. When Pete Carroll was asked about injuries Monday, Lynch did not come up, so it’s entirely possible Lynch is just sore and getting a rest day (it’s normal for him to sit out Wednesday practices in a usual week), but we’ll know more when Carroll talks to the media again Wednesday. As expected, Zach Miller was back in action after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury.
UPDATE: Ignore everything you just read about Lynch. Turns out the team made a mistake on the injury report. Lynch should be listed with a hip injury, which would indicate he’s just resting the existing injury he played through. Remain calm!
