Tweens and teens in grades 6-12 are invited to create stop-motion Lego movies, complete with sound and voice-overs, 2-4 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Everett Public Library Evergreen branch, 9512 Evergreen Way. Bring your own Lego pieces, or use the ones provided.
The free class is limited to 30 youth, and registration is required.

Fairy Scary Halloween: Families are invited to come in costume and create a fairy house, 2 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Snohomish Library, 311 Maple Ave.

Canary show: The Cascade Canary Breeders Association holds its annual show Oct. 18-20 in Building 501 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, 14405 179th Ave. SE, Monroe.
There will be three shows for colorbred canaries, type canaries and finches. Doors open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 18-19, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 20. Admission is $3 per person, $5 per family.
The club draws members from across the region. Meetings are typically held at 1 p.m. the fourth Sunday of the month in Woodinville.
