EVERETT — For three days over Veterans Day Weekend, the Schack Art Center in downtown Everett is offering free art classes to military veterans and active duty personnel.
Fees and art supplies are included in the classes. Veterans may sign up for any or all of the three classes being offered.
Veterans Art Days is sponsored by the William H. Geiger Family Foundation.
These are the classes offered for Veterans Art Days:
•Bold Watercolors — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 9, with instructor Ron Stocke.
Watercolor Puddling — noon to 2 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 10, with instructor Liz Lund.
Make it Now: Glass Floats or Ornaments — 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (20-minute slots) Nov. 11, with Schack staff instructing.
Call 425-259-5050 to register and bring military ID when you arrive for class.
The center is an admission-free, visual arts center at 2921 Hoyt Ave.. It features diverse art exhibits from locally and internationally known professional artists, as well as emerging talent.
