Channel-surfing the vast cultural wasteland: Lifetime's new reality series, "Chasing Nashville," premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m. It follows four teens from Appalachia pursuing their dreams of country stardom.

Remember to raise your hand: A Mill Creek pre-school teacher has embarked on a new career; her entertainment company runs trivia night competitions in county bars. The jobs are similar, with substitution of bar coupons for gold stars for the pop quizzes.
